Perfect relaxing location
"The location on the beach with the back windows and porch all facing a clear view of the ocean rolling in was just what we were looking for. It was nice to be able to enjoy the ocean sitting in the hot tub. The house isn’t luxurious, if that matters to you, but it’s very roomy and open, and has everything we needed. Definitely would go again."

Girls Getaway
"It's clean with comfortable beds and everything you need to relax. The location and view are absolutely amazing and couldn't be more perfect. Walk to the pier for a bite and a beer or listen to a band. Tourist areas are a bit further away so you feel out of the fray and immersed in the vibe of what makes the Outer Banks such a draw for many. We would stay here again."

This house is a dream!
"What a fantastic week we had! The views from this home are breathtaking. All the amenities were great--the commercial ice maker was super handy, it sure beat going to the store for ice every day. We experienced a bit of a heat wave but tried to spend a few minutes every morning on the back deck with our coffee. It was also a fantastic place for a cocktail in the evening. The beach was so easy to access and the pier is so close we went for dinner twice. Thanks Mike, we had such an amazing trip and are trying to get our dates together for next year!"
Excellent Time!
"We had an excellent vacation. Our crew included three families- 3 couples and 5 kids. There was plenty of room and we all had our own bathroom. The open floor plan was perfect for the kids to play safely in view. The hot tub was amazing, especially at night, overlooking the ocean. The location was perfect, the beach was amazing, and we had great weather for April! We also really took advantage of the ice machine. Thank you, Mike!"

Wonderful house with amazing views
"This was our second stay here, and we would definitely go back again and again. To that point, we were kind of sad that the dates we wanted for next year were already taken (book early!) but we still plan to go back at some point. This house has everything you need for a great vacation. The easy access to the beach, walking distance to the pier, and the upstairs master bedroom with full view of the beach are just some of the perks. The owners are so easy to work with and very responsive. We can’t wait to go back!"

"We enjoy this piece of paradise every year! Not only is OBX Life 1 in a perfect location with gorgeous views, it is also very comfortable inside as well. With a feeling of old OBX nostalgia, the 5 bedrooms, open living, dining and kitchen space and access to the ocean are all we need for a perfect family gathering. We have stayed in numerous cottages along the beach over the years but we call this one 'home away from home.' A great place to make memories with family."

Only place we will stay in OBX
"Kinda of hate to write this cause it might not get us the week we like to rent but fair is fair. Place is well kept and it is the perfect location for relaxing. Private walkway to the beach is great for quick trips to the beach and house for bathroom breaks and filling up the cooler from the commercial ice maker which is my favorite aspect of the house! The pier is like 2 houses away and perfect to trust the younger ones to go fishing or for happy hour with .15 cent shrimp from 1600-1800 hours. Live music is a plus as well. Had several questions for the owner and he quickly replied. Owner wants you to relax and enjoy. Hot tub on the deck helps with that as well. My tip... Pay the $150 for early occupancy. Owner tries to have the place ready for you by 1:00. We were able to settle in by 12:00 instead of 4:00. Thanks Mike for another great week in your lovely beach home!"

Best Porch View Ever!
"Nine of us enjoyed a long weekend for the OBX Seafood Festival and we were truly blessed with the best weather. The Oceanfront deck on this home is to die for; love that it is covered and had plenty of seats for those who sat out there and enjoyed their morning coffee or afternoon adult beverages. Love the older charm of this home (it does need some TLC) and the kitchen was well stocked. The owner is very responsive and the house was clean. Plenty of space and fantastic location!"

Great Experience
"This was our first stay at this property, and we were so impressed with it that we booked it for our next summer vacation before we even left. It's a wonderful house with everything you would need for a getaway. The location was the best part; direct beach access, minutes by foot to the pier and a short drive to a lot of local restaurants. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of the ocean in the morning from the master bedroom. The weather was a little tricky during our time here, with rain and high winds that caused the no swimming flags to stay up during the duration of our stay, but the pool and the hot tub helped to make up for the time we couldn't spend in the ocean. We would definitely come back again."

Old Nags Head charm
"We have chosen this property for the last 7 years. It has become our second home. It reminds me of my teenage years of coming to the Outer Banks and the cottages we used to stay in. Great location, with local pier, bike riding along the beach road but with less traffic. Front side pool that gives you sun all day long. The layout of the house is perfect for a family of all ages. We have 4 generations! Always a wonderful vacation with many memories ❤️"
