Meet the Olsons! During their breaks from college, Mike and Renee both headed to the OBX for the summer. Renee worked at the famous Capt'n Franks, while Mike was a lifeguard for the Kill Devil Hills Lifeguard Beach Service and Nags Head Ocean Rescue (NHOR) team. Their love of the beach brought them together, and their enthusiasm for the beach life continues to this day.
When not spending time at the beach, Mike and Renee live in Chesterfield, VA with their two children, Meganne and Max, along with their two furry children, dogs Bo and Boomer.

The Outer Banks of North Carolina aka "OBX" is rated one of the top beaches on the East Coast. The Outer Banks has a way of connecting with people, and staying with them long after the vacation is over. Uncrowded beaches stretch for miles and endless possibilities come with them--this is what OBX Life is all about. This is America’s First Beach, the site of our country’s first National Seashore, and the place where the English first tried to settle in the New World. National and state parks share these stories and more. You’ll find friendly and hospitable folks in the towns and villages of the Outer Banks. The restaurant and shopping choices are diverse. Not many big box stores or chain restaurants will be found out here. Chances are, you’ll have to try something new! But hey, this is the land of firsts! You’ll, no doubt, be rewarded for stepping outside of the ordinary.
